GOD OF CARNAGE
BOYS FIGHT, PARENTS MEET, CARNAGE HAPPENS.
Playwright Yasmina Reza expertly peels back the layers of well-instilled manners to expose the rotten core of humanity in God of Carnage.
Disguised as concerned parents of two boys who have just had a violent after-school altercation, the parents meet to discuss the matter in a civilised manner. However, as the evening develops, all things devolve into chaos.
Comedy of manners turns into full-blown farce in this ‘study in tension between civilised surface and savage instinct’.
