NOOSA alive! is managed by a voluntary committee who plan, program, obtain funding, adhere to corporate governance and are passionate about the ongoing success of the Festival.
Since 2005 the Management Committee has appointed a Festival Director to oversee the general running of administration and ensure the growth of the festival.
NOOSA alive! (formerly Noosa Long Weekend Festival) has strong community support and benefits from the generosity of many volunteers who contribute in the lead up and during the festival.
Festival Producer : Tim Loydell
Former Deckchairs front man Tim Loydell returns to centre stage as new Festival Producer of NOOSA alive!
It is the perfect pairing for Australia’s premier regional performing arts and cultural festival. The creative genius behind several successful events across Australia and abroad and an accomplished musician and performer in his own right, Tim Loydell has joined NOOSA alive! as Festival Manager.
The former Brisbane resident has lived on the Sunshine Coast since 2018 and will soon be releasing details of the 2019 NOOSA alive! festival program.
“We are incredibly lucky to have someone of Tim’s status and experience joining the NOOSA alive! team.
Not only is Tim an excellent musician, he is also a true lover of the arts and has spent the last 10 years working behind the scenes supporting visual, musical and written art.
“Tim has an eye for unique talent and niche markets, and we are thrilled that he will be working with the festival.” said Festival President, Andrew Squires.
Mr Loydell is supported by a strong team of experienced business people who make up the NOOSA alive! committee for 2019 under the guidance of Andrew Squires as President.
President : Andrew Squires
Andrew lives locally at Sunshine Beach and as President brings a wealth of team and business growth knowledge combined with successful management skills to the role. Andrew’s experience with his own business positions have seen him work both locally and internationally. Andrew enjoys the outdoors and has competed in a round the world yacht race, trekked to Everest base camp and completed an 800km pilgrimage walk in Spain. Andrew has a passion for the arts and is committed to NOOSA alive! and its future.
Treasurer : Martin Rafter
Martin Rafter, a partner of Stratogen Accounting is the returning Treasurer bringing his extensive background and experience to the financial management of the festival.
Sponsorship Co-ordinator : Andrew Stafford
Andrew Stafford returns to contribute his services in the role of co-ordinating sponsorship networks and associated events within the program. Andrew has been a local in the area for 22 years and runs a successful Wealth Management business as well as having many years involvement in local clubs and charities.
Secretary: Anna Richardson
Anna Richardson, Solicitor from Cartwrights lawyers, has been on the management committee for 6 years and is returning as secretary. A Noosa local since 1979, Anna is bringing her hospitality background and legal skills to the festival.
Marketing and Advertising : Caroline Eddington
Caroline Edginton of CLICCS Digital, has joined the Management Committee for 2019 to manage the marketing and advertising. Caroline’s company created and launched the NOOSA alive! app in 2018 and aims to use this in collaboration with other online tools to deliver festival information that can be accessed easily using any mobile device.
