‘HORSE’
Geraldine Brooks ‘In Conversation’ with Lisa Millar
From the Pulitzer Prize winning author of March and People of the Book comes a vivid and unique new novel for lovers of sweeping historical fiction. Gliding effortlessly across three places and three time settings – 1850s Kentucky, 1950s New York City and 2019 Washington DC – and with an incredible cast of characters, it’s a story that’s steeped in history, anchored in fact and has at its heart a fascinating unsolved mystery.
A discarded painting in a junk pile, a skeleton in an attic, and the greatest racehorse in American history: from these strands, a Pulitzer Prize winner braids a sweeping story of spirit, obsession, and injustice across American history.
‘Horse’ is the latest masterpiece from a writer with a prodigious talent for bringing the past to life.
Entry to venue/event is subject to Covid19 directives as outlined by Qld Health.
