With great sadness the NOOSA alive! management committee has made the decision to cancel the 2020 festival and associated events.

This decision was made following the Federal Government's announcement of non-essential mass gatherings being banned across the country and the community's increasing concerns around social distancing during the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic. The festival, that we all love, is a vital part of Noosa’s arts and cultural calendar but the health and safety of everyone must come first.

As a not-for-profit organisation, reliant on donations, government funding and sponsorship, the impact of cancelling is substantial. If you are able to consider donating your ticket price to support us in being able to continue to present NOOSA alive! into the future we would truly appreciate your generosity.

NOOSA alive! will be back in 2021 with another truly amazing program, we urge everyone to stay safe during this time. Should you have queries about the festival please do not hesitate to get in touch: admin@noosaalive.com.au

Welcome to NOOSA alive!, a 10 day festival of theatre, literature, music, dance, film, visual arts, cuisine and barrier-breaking forums – in one of Australia’s most enviable destinations: Noosa Heads, Queensland.

Founded by prominent Australian playwright David Williamson, author Kristin Williamson, internationally renowned violinist Brett Dean, environmental activist Dr Michael Gloster, restaurateur Leonie Palmer-Fisher together with Rick Clayton and Ros McCauley.

NOOSA alive! respectfully acknowledges the traditional custodians, the Gubbi Gubbi/Kabi Kabi peoples, as the original storytellers, artists and performers of the country where we work, live and play.
