Big Night is a 1996 American comedy-drama film co-directed by Campbell Scott and Stanley Tucci.
Set on the New Jersey Shore in the 1950s, the story follows two Italian immigrant brothers – Primo (Shalhoub), a perfectionist chef, and Secondo (Tucci), a pragmatic businessman – as they struggle to keep their authentic restaurant, Paradise, afloat.
The film’s supporting cast includes Minnie Driver, Ian Holm, Isabella Rossellini, and Allison Janney.
Produced by David Kirkpatrick and Jonathan Filley for the Samuel Goldwyn Company, Big Night was nominated for the “Grand Jury Prize” at the Sundance Film Festival and the “Grand Special Prize” at the Deauville Film Festival.
Scott and Tucci won the New York Film Critics Circle Award and the Boston Society of Film Critics Award for Best New Director. Tucci and Joseph Tropiano won the Independent Spirit Award for Best First Screenplay.

A three-course dinner inspired by the film and created through the collaboration of three local gourmet chefs, Matt Golinski, Josh Smallwood and Glen Barratt will be served throughout the evening. Free return transport from Noosa to the theatre will be available, leaving from the J at Noosa Junction at 5-30 pm (sharp).
