Bask in the dangerous realism of electro-acoustic collaboration Satu In The Beyond, featuring an all-star line-up of Australian musicians drawn from the punk, indie and classical soundworlds.
Helmed by virtuoso violinist and vocalist Satu Vänskä, the acclaimed Principal Violin with the Australian Chamber Orchestra armed with a voice that moves from ‘woozy serenader to spitballing post-punk’ (SMH), Satu In The Beyond brings together ACO Artistic Director Richard Tognetti on electric violin, Midnight Oil’s Jim Moginie on guitar, Paul Beard on keyboards, Kiah Gossner on bass and Declan Kelly on drums to perform a uniquely intoxicating blend of genre-defying artistry and experimentation.
Featuring music by artists as diverse as Nine Inch Nails, Nick Drake, JS Bach and Richard Tognetti, this show follows sell-out gigs across Australia and abroad, from New York’s Le Poisoson Rouge to Slovenia’s Maribor Festival.
